The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
I read The Midnight Library in a couple of hours it was so good. It follows a woman who feels hopeless in her life. She doesn't talk to her brother, her cat just died, her neighbor doesn't need help, and she lost her job. At the end of the first couple of chapters, the woman is in the Midnight Library, a place between worlds. She meets her favorite person again in the library and gets to live out everything she wishes to do differently. This was a very unique read for me because I usually shy away from philosophical books. The Midnight Library made me think about life, what happens after death, and all the regrets I know everyone has. I thought a lot about the people around me and the effect I have on them. I would recommend reading this book, regardless of whether or not you try to shy away from BookTok books.
