The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

The Great Gatsby has long been regarded as an American classic. When I decided to read it, I thought it would be an engaging read that would keep me on the edge of my seat. Instead, it took a turn to a view of the rich. Nick Carraway is the main character, and the narrator, who comes from a middle-class background where he was never poor but not as wealthy as the millionaires he lives next to.

I had a few questions about this book that I'm not sure who to ask:

1. Does Nick ever go to work?

2. Does Gatsby really love Daisy or was he just in love with the idea of her?

3. Did Tom care about his mistress or not really?

4. What happened at the end? I was super confused when I read it

I really did enjoy reading this book even though it took me time to get into it. I would recommend it to anyone into American classics, old literature, and socio-political commentary.
